This
website
was created as a public service for residents of
Statesville, North Carolina and surrounding areas. Our weather station
is privately owned and operated, and should not be considered an
officially recognized station for weather reporting. Never base
important decisions on this or any weather information obtained from
the Internet. We are currently
using a Davis Vantage Pro2 with 24 hour fan aspirated radiation shield.
The weather station is located about 2 miles north
of Statesville. Our site and station are both a hobby and
experiment in weather-related computing. Our weather data is
currently being shared withweatherunderground.com
(KNCSTATE5), Citizen
Weather Observer Program (CW6027)
as well as this site every 10 seconds 24
hours a day. Real time updates come from an Ajax Script
provided by Ken at Saratoga Weather.
The positioning and calibration of the weather
station sensors has been
carefully considered to maximize accuracy of the readings. We use CWOP
to help make sure our data is accurate. Weather Data is
recorded and uploaded to the web using Weather Display.
Radar Data Is updated every 5-10 minutes by GRLevel3Software.
